BEC and TOPNORDIC Signs IT Agreement Valued at DKK 550 Million

BEC (Bankernes Edb Central), and TOPNORDIC A/S today signed one of the largest outsourcing agreements of the year regarding delivery of hardware and standard software, as well as development and operation of the decentralised IT infrastructure at BEC’s member banks. The contract covers about 10.000 work places, 400 servers and 1.300 printers distributed across more than 400 locations in Denmark and Greenland. The total contract value of the deal is appr. DKK 550 million for the five years and eight months agreement period.

(Denmark) BEC has entered into an agreement with TOPNORDIC who, as of May 1st 2007, will become supplier of operation and development of the decentralised IT infrastructure at BEC’s 73 member banks with more than 400 branches. In addition to the 73 member banks covered by the agreement, BEC’s customer list includes several hundred financial institutions within mortgage, pension, insurance and banking.
 
BEC and TOPNORDIC have cooperated over a number of years and the new agreement testifies to the success of this cooperation.
